In the winter, Les Deux Alpes (as well as Les 2 Alpes and Les 2 Alpes 3600) is a ski resort which is part of the ski slopes in the Val d’Isère, at 1,650 meters above sea level.
In the summer, at Les 2 Alpes, there is the greatest skiable glacier in Europe. The town is 71 km from Grenoble and near the largest mountain in Western Europe: Mont Blanc.
Les Deux Alpes, with the greatest glacier in Europe, is considered the summer Mecca for lovers of skiing and snowboarding, thanks to its 50 km of slopes with extremely efficient lifts, considered among the best in the Alps.
The summer slopes can be easily reached with the Jandri Express, which in just 25 minutes brings you to the foot of the glacier at 3,200 meters above sea level. From here skiers and hikers can reach 3,500 meters with the underground funicular, the Dome Express, which brings you to the mountain top and the entrance of the ice grottos, one of most characteristic and popular destinations for visitors of all kinds.
The optimal position of the glacier and the constant snow allow for skiing from the morning to lunchtime (about 2 p.m.). The snow park is also very well known, where professional skiers and snowboarders can try out new stimuli and exciting emotions.
